The wireless Ethernet connection is transparent to the network, delivering two 100Base-T interfaces to any switch or router. A T1 channel is also included for convenient support of telecom, video or VoIP (voice over IP). As an FCC licensed, carrier-class radio, the 1500P is unaffected by neighboring wireless devices or inclement weather for long term reliability (~ 99.999%) in critical wireless Ethernet applications.
Set-up at each end consists of a compact Outdoor Unit (ODU), a rack-mounted Indoor Unit (IDU) and a parabolic antenna that ranges 1.5' to 6.0' in diameter, based on link distance. The ODU houses the radio transmitter and receiver and attaches below the dish. The ODU is powered by the IDU (120VAC, 5-A), which also supplies the user and network interfaces. ODUs and IDUs are connected by a single RG-8 coax carrying signal and power. Maximum cable distance is 1,000’.
The FibeAir 1500P wireless Ethernet radio is FCC licensed for interference protection. The license period is 10-years and renewable thereafter. For your convenience, we offer guaranteed license approval with a turnkey installation.
